I got this book for my kindle library and wasn't disappointed. This science fiction thriller kept me from all my housework and other tasks, because all I wanted to do was read and see what happened next. This book has everything from unique characters to stolen artifacts and aliens.

Chapter One starts out with a big surprise thrusting you immediately into a murder mystery. Colonel Esseline Robinson is shocked when her fifteen-year old niece, Ariana finds blood in the reception area at the archeology lab. The plot thickens and twists and turns will throw you for a loop.

This was a fantastic read. This book is definitely worth my five stars without a doubt! I will buy more books from this talented author.

More Detailed Product Description

Product Description
Colonel Esseline Robinson, the Planetary Police Chief of Ascendant, was on administrative leave helping her niece, Ariana, adjust to living with Essie after the deaths of Ari's mother and father...Essie's sister and brother-in-law.

The adjustment period was interrupted when Ari discovered a body at the archaeology lab where she worked.

Essie was now back on the job as Planetary Police Chief, and dealing with the emotions of her teenaged niece, her gallivanting parents, her partner, and sundry office politics.

Throw in some stolen artifacts that belonged to the previous inhabitants, ex-husbands, murders, and aliens, and you have a recipe for an exciting science fiction thriller.

I enjoyed this read. Reminds me of Asimov, an early dabbler in sci-fi murder mysteries.... characters are believable and well portrayed. I look forward to other works from this new author.

I really enjoyed this book. I am a big fan of scifi so this seemed to be right up my alley. Once I added it to my kindle, it did not disappoint. The characters are well developed and the plot is easy to follow. I loved that the book begins right in the middle of the action with the murder scene. It does a good job of drawing the reader in and the story has no trouble of holding their interest right up til the end.

I recommend this book to all scifi lovers.

"Mysterious artefacts .... even more mysterious aliens,'
This was a fantastic story with an intriguing and well thought out plot. I loved Essie, the strong lead character, still grieving for her sister and brother in law, caring for their teenage daughter, but faced with a horrific crime scene which rapidly escalated into a multi-murder caseload.

Colonel Essie Robinson is thrust into a murder mystery: blood and a body found on the floor of an archaeology lab. As head of the Planetary Police on Ascendant, she must find the culprit quickly, if for no other reason than to calm her niece Ari who discovered the blood.

The body count escalates in a hurry and Essie is almost overwhelmed with the workload. Coming to her aid is a cast of detectives, family members and government officials eager to stop the carnage. At the crux of the adventure is the mysterious alien artifacts that seem to be at the center of the killings. And, where there are alien artifacts, can a trio of mysterious aliens be far behind?

Good read, quick pace with enough descriptive language to put you right into the heart of the investigations by this intrepid planetary cop. Recommended.Product Description
